The basics
Do I need a credit check?
No. You pay a month ahead by card, so there’s nothing to check.
Is there a catch?
No contract. No credit check. No daily roaming charge. The one number to know is 35GB a month in Europe. If we ever find a catch, we’ll put it on the homepage.
Who’s the network?
O2. Boundless runs on the O2 network, so if O2 works where you are, so do we.
Your second line
What happens to my current number?
Nothing. It stays on your current SIM. Boundless is a data-first second line with its own new number, so you keep your main number and your current deal, and put your data on us.
Does my phone take two SIMs?
Most recent phones take an eSIM alongside a physical SIM. Look in Settings for “Add eSIM” or “Add mobile plan”. Not sure? Email us your phone model and we’ll check.
How do I choose which line does what?
Your phone lets you pick a line for data and a default line for calls and texts. Most people put data on Boundless and keep calls on their main number.
Can I get an eSIM?
Yes. It isn’t instant yet: each eSIM is set up by hand, so order between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and your QR code is emailed within 3 hours. Order later or at the weekend and it arrives the next working day. Or we post a SIM within 48 hours.
Europe
What’s the difference between £15 and £20?
Europe, both ways. The £20 plan gives you unlimited calls and texts and 35GB of data a month across the EU and EEA, with no daily charge, plus 2,000 minutes and texts a month to EU numbers from the UK. The £15 plan doesn’t roam at all, so it can’t run up a bill.
What do I get in Europe?
Unlimited calls and texts, 35GB of data a month and no daily charge, across the EU and EEA. Some of the biggest UK networks now charge up to £2.75 a day.
What happens if I use all 35GB in Europe?
Your data stops until your next month starts. Calls and texts carry on as normal. We’ll be honest: most people never get close.
Where isn’t Europe included?
Switzerland, Andorra, Turkey, the non-EU Balkans, Ukraine, Russia, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Gibraltar, Monaco and the Canary Islands are in.
Can I switch to Europe just for a holiday?
Yes. Ask us before you go and we’ll switch your line to Europe. Drop back to £15 at your next renewal.
Money
How do I pay?
By card, a month in advance. VAT included in the price.
What if I go over?
In the UK you can’t: data is unlimited. In Europe, data stops at 35GB a month until your next month starts.
How do I cancel?
Email admin@boundlessphone.com with 30 days’ notice, any day of the month. Your line runs to the end of those 30 days and stops, and anything you’ve paid for beyond that is credited back. No fee, no guilt trip.
Will the price go up?
Both plans are rolling 30-day, so you’re never locked in. If anything about your plan changes, we tell you before your next renewal.
